Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Mount Meru Hotel

  • Morning: Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and transfer to River Trees.
  • Afternoon: Rest and unwind after your journey, or explore Arusha’s local markets and cultural sites.
  • Evening: Enjoy a fine dining experience at your lodge, followed by relaxation in your luxury suite.

Transit To Serengeti

The Serengeti, renowned for its vast savannas and abundant wildlife, is one of Africa’s most iconic national parks and amous for the Great Migration.

Day 2: Arusha to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende) – Nyikani Tented Camp

  • Morning: After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your schedule flight to Kogatende Airstrip in Northern Serengeti.
  • Afternoon: Arrive at your mid-range Tented Camp in Northern Serengeti, where the Great Migration is often crossing the Mara River (between July and October).
  • Late Afternoon: Head out for your first game drive to witness the breathtaking river crossings and spot predators lying in wait.
  • Evening: Enjoy a gourmet dinner at your camp, followed by a peaceful night in the heart of the wilderness.

Day 3: Northern Serengeti (Great Migration) – Nyikani Tented Camp

  • Full Day: Spend the day tracking the movement of the herds on morning and afternoon game drives.
  • Activities: Witness dramatic river crossings as hundreds of wildebeest and zebras brave the crocodile-infested Mara River.
  • Lunch: Picnic lunch in the wild or return to the camp for a luxurious midday hot-meal.
  • Evening: Relax after a thrilling day with dinner and drinks under the stars.

Northern Serengeti

Famous for the Great Migration, it offers an unparalleled safari experience with breathtaking views and encounters with diverse species in their natural habitat.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti (Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari) – Nyikani Tented Camp

  • Morning: Option to start the day with an unforgettable hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti, offering a unique view of the migration and wildlife.
  • Late Morning: Continue on game drives, tracking the herds and observing the predators that follow the migration, such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
  • Afternoon: Relax at the camp, perhaps enjoying their inn-house treatment/lounging snacks
  • Evening: Enjoy a bush dinner with sundowners, soaking in the Serengeti’s beauty.

Central Serengeti

Day 5: Central Serengeti – Nyikani Tented Camp Seronera

  • Morning: After breakfast, take a scenic game drive or a short flight to Central Serengeti, an area rich in wildlife throughout the year.
  • Afternoon: Check into your tented camp in the Central Serengeti.
  • Late Afternoon: Head out on a game drive to explore the Seronera Valley, known for its predator activity.
  • Evening: Return to your camp for a delicious dinner and relaxation by the campfire.

Day 6: Central Serengeti (Full Day Game Drives) – Nyikani Tented Camp Seronera

  • Full Day: Spend the day exploring the vast plains of Central Serengeti on morning and afternoon game drives.
  • Activities: Search for the Big Five and the resident wildlife that thrives in this area, including elephants, giraffes, and hippos.
  • Lunch: Enjoy a picnic in the bush or return to your lodge for a relaxed lunch.
  • Evening: Wind down with dinner at your lodge, followed by stargazing or a cultural experience.

Ngorongoro

Welcome to UNESCO World Heritage Site in Tanzania, is the world’s largest inactive volcanic caldera and a haven for diverse wildlife.

Day 7: Serengeti to the Ngorongoro highlands – Acacia Lodge Karatu

  • Morning: Take a final game drive in Serengeti, then transfer to the airstrip for a flight to Manyara Airstrip.
  • Late Morning: Upon arrival, drive to Ngorongoro highland and check into your luxury lodge on the Ngorongoro highland.
  • Afternoon: Enjoy leisure time at the lodge, or visit a local village town of the Iraq tribe nearby 
  • Evening: Savor a gourmet dinner at your lodge, with the lodge entertainment programs.

Ngorongoro

Known for its breathtaking landscapes and rich ecosystem, it offers a unique opportunity to spot the “Big Five” in a compact, scenic setting.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration – Lake Burunge BaoBao Tented Lodge

  • Morning: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive, one of the most beautiful wildlife areas in Africa.
  • Activities: Spot rhinos, lions, elephants, and an array of other wildlife in the crater’s diverse habitats.
  • Lunch: Picnic lunch by the hippo pool inside the crater.
  • Afternoon: Depart the crater floor and drive to Lake Burunge BaoBao Tented Lodge for a relaxed late evening.

Tarangire

Day 9: Tarangire National Park – Lake Burunge BaoBao Tented Lodge

  • Morning: Full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park, one of the most beautiful wildlife areas in Africa, Tarangire National Park stands out for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse ecosystems, making it a perfect destination for both wildlife lovers and those seeking a more off-the-beaten-path experience in Tanzania. End of Safari

After 10 days of safari both in Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Tarangire, its a day to say goodbye.

Day 10: Lake Burunge BaoBao Tented Lodge – and departure

    • Morning: Enjoy a relaxed breakfast, with optional short activities like the lake view walk.
    • Late Morning: Driver to Arusha for your flight back home or Zanzibar extension on request
    • Alternative: Drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport towards Arusha for your departure flight.
