Temperature: Average temperatures range from about 20°C (68°F) to 30°C (86°F). It can be cooler at higher elevations within the park.
Rainfall: The park receives significant rainfall, averaging around 1,200 mm (47 inches) annually. The wet season typically runs from November to March, with heavy rains occurring during this period.
Dry Season: The dry season lasts from May to October, with lower humidity and reduced rainfall, making it an ideal time for wildlife viewing and trekking.
Humidity: The humidity levels are generally high, especially during the wet season, contributing to the lush vegetation and rich biodiversity in the park.

How to get there

Drive, schedule or charter a flight from Dar es salaam, Mwanza or Arusha or take a slow or fast train from Dar es salaam or ferry along the shore of Lake Tanganyika from Burundi or Zambia to Kigoma. To reach Gombe you must travel by boat from Kigoma. Depending on your budget, there’s an option of speed boat, which takes much less time- or passenger’s boat, which takes longer about 4 hrs.Boat ride is an amazing trip.

Gombe wilderness worth a year round visit; enabling you to cruise along part of the historical inquisitiveness way back in the 19th century when Livingstone and Stanley searched the source of River Nile.
